Lesson Policies

Lesson Times:

There are generally lesson times available 7 days a week, but my schedule is subject to change on a regular basis. Lessons will last 45-50 minutes.

Cost:

An introductory “trial lesson” costs $30. That way you can decide if I am the right teacher for you. My pricing policy is: $50 for one lesson/month, $95 for two lessons/month, $140 for three lessons/month, and $180 for four lessons/month. Payment is due at the time of your lesson.

Cancellation policy:

I require 24 hours notice for cancellations. You will be charged in full for cancelling on the day of your lesson. Outside of that, I try to be as flexible as I can when rescheduling.

Locations:

Currently, I am available for online lessons via Zoom or Skype as well as lessons at your home. I do not have my own studio space at this time. If you choose to have me come to you, you will be charged an additional, small convenience fee to cover travel. This fee is determined at my discretion.

Teaching kids:

I teach kids as young as 8 up to 18, as well as adults. When teaching students under 18 in the home, I require a parent or guardian to be in the home as well, no exceptions. Parents are allowed to sit in on lessons, if the student is comfortable. If not, a parent or guardian must at least be in the home.

What to have ready for your first lesson:

For guitar or bass students, I require the student have their own instrument for lessons. A small practice amp is necessary as well as a 1/4 inch cable to plug it in (for electric guitar or bass guitar only). Guitar and bass students will also need a few accessories like a tuner to tune their guitar, a guitar pick (if necessary), and strap for your guitar/bass (optional). All guitar, voice and bass students may want to have some sort of recording device ready to record your lesson (optional).
